Since launching his ground-breaking LGBT+ inclusion work in 2019, Shaun has received national and international acclaim, including a number of prestigious plaudits and awards,
In May 2016 the U.K. Prime Minister wrote that Shaun’s work has ‘fantastic impact in increasing awareness of homophobia.’
In 2017 the Department for Education praised Shaun for his ongoing commitment to LGBT+ inclusion. Also in 2017 London Mayor Sadiq Khan wrote to Shaun stating ‘Education on LGBT+ issues is incredibly important, and we welcome the work you are doing.’

Shaun Dellenty consistently receives praise for his compassionate and potentially life-saving LGBT+ inclusion and diversity work. As a result, he has been honoured with the following awards and plaudits.

  • Designated a ‘Point of Light’ by the U.K. Prime Minister in May 2016 for services to the education and LGBT+ communities at a special ceremony at 10 Downing Street.
  • Awarded  ‘Education Champion’ award at the U.K. Excellence In Diversity Awards May 2016 for services to the education and LGBT+ communities.
  • Honoured at Southwark Cathedral by the Mayor of Southwark with the Mayor’s Highest Civic Honour May 2016 for services to the education and LGBT+ communities.
  • Shortlisted National Diversity Awards 2018

  • Named on the One Body One Faith ‘Rainbow List’ 2016 for LGBT+ inclusion work in faith and non -faith contexts
