Shaun Dellenty Speaks to NASUWT Delegates
Shaun today delivered a keynote and workshop at the NASUWT Teacher Union LGBT+ Consultation Conference. Shaun's keynote addressed the safety and well-being of LGBT+ staff in schools. Shaun followed his keynote with a workshop on Bullying Versus Banter in which he explored some of the experiences of LGBT+ staff and pupils in schools. Shaun invited delegates to take a direct action stating that negative behaviour towards LGBT+ teachers and pupils should always be challenged.

Shaun Dellenty Trains Secondary Teachers at Poole High School
Shaun today trained around sixty secondary school staff on positive LGBT+ inclusion at Poole High School. The session was very well received with delegates on social media reporting that they found it 'amazing' and 'great stuff'.

Shaun Visits Another Isle of Man Primary School
Shaun today visited Kewaigue Primary School on the Isle of Man where he met with the Headteacher, pupils and staff. This is part of Shaun's long term suite of work with the island education community.

Shaun Celebrates LGBT History Month with Isle of Man LGBT Youth Group
Tonight Shaun spent a wonderful evening at the Isle of Man LGBT Youth Group celebrating LGBT History Month with a lovely rainbow cake. Pictured are Shaun Dellenty with Leanne Newbold and Jenni Smith of Soundcheck who support the young people who attend. Shaun is supporting the group to develop an LGBT Youth Pride later in the year.

Shaun Returns to Isle of Man
Shaun is back on the Isle of Man this week to meet with local business leads, the island LGBT Youth Group, politicians and continue working with island schools and the Department of Education, Sports and Culture. Shaun's work is already having a positive impact upon island schools, with many school leads action planning to make schools more positively LGBT+ inclusive as a result of Shaun's training in January 2018.

Shaun Dellenty Heading to Speak in Cologne
Shaun's international sphere of influence continues to reach further across the globe. Having already spoken in Hungary and Isle of Man and received invitations to Orlando and Armenia, it has been confirmed that Shaun will be speaking in Cologne at the Practical Pedagogies Conference on November 1st and 2nd.

Island Life Extra! Shaun WILL Return to the Isle of Man For LGBT History Month
Following an extraordinary initial week of work Shaun is delighted to be returning to the island during LGBT History Month. Shaun will on island between 5-7th of February and in addition to working with island schools he will meet with local business leads, politicians and police. He also hopes to make a return visit to the LGBT Youth Group.

Island Life! Shaun Speaks to Staff and Students at Victoria Road Primary School
Isle of Man Week 1 Day 5: on his last full day of his current visit to the Isle of Man Shaun visited staff and pupils at Victoria Road Primary School in the South of the island. Shaun led an assembly to Year 5/6 pupils before visiting Year 6 to take part in a Philosophy For Children lesson where he read the book 'The Sissy Duckling' by Harvey Fierstein. Pupils were highly positive and engaged. Following the session Shaun worked to develop a strategic plan with the school leadership team until it was time to head back to the airport after a historic and emotional week. Shaun is very grateful to everyone who has welcomed him into their schools this week and to Minsters, the Department for Education, Sorts and Culture, the LGBT Youth Group and Manx Radio.

Island Life! Shaun Makes History on the Isle of Man
Isle of Man Week 1 Day 4: Today was a the centre-piece of Shaun's work with the Isle of Man education system, delivering a high-profile keynote and three hour workshop to ALL island senior school leaders and many of the middle leaders. The event was also attended by the Minister for Education Hon Graham Cregeen MHK. Shaun was introduced by Geoff Moorcroft Director of Education. Following the training the Chief Minister of the Isle of Man personally gave permission for Shaun to be interviewed by Manx Radio. Response to Shaun's session was highly emotional and very positive. At the end of the sessions Shaun read out the moving experiences of many young LGBT+ people on the island. By the end of the day many school leaders were already planning the next stages of the development of the work and requesting that Shaun visit their school. It was a day the island looked to the future. Shaun is pictured with Professor Ronald Barr, CEO of the Isle of Man Education Department. Island Life! Shaun Is A Big Hit at Ramsey Grammar!
Isle of Man Week 1 Day 3: Shaun today made a return visit to Ramsay Grammar School, in the north of the island in order to deliver multiple student workshops on difference, diversity, compassion and LGBT+ identities. Shaun worked in stages with Years 7, 9, 9, 10, 111 and 12 before meeting with the school council to gain a sense of what young people's experiences are actually like. Shaun then met with staff to plan for positive LGBT+ inclusion. At lunch Shaun ate with students and staff. The response across the school to Shaun's visit was overwhelmingly positive and emotional- with many young people choosing to come out to Shaun as LGBT+ and many approaching him to thank him or bringing these issues into discussion. Shaun would like to extend thanks to host and Assistant Headteacher Ben Eyres and to all staff and students he worked with.
